Lead Generation World Deemed a Networking Sucess

BrokerCalls spent three days immersed in the affiliate marketing world at the recent Lead Generation World in Hollywood, Florida. Our first affiliate networking conference in 2024 enabled us to learn more about the people and businesses working in the industry and how we can work together to enhance their affiliate marketing efforts. While we had fun meeting new people, Lead Generation World was an excellent chance to connect with potential partners to find growth opportunities.

Recapping Our Efforts at Lead Generation World

Our first day at Lead Generation World began at the Tee Off for the Queen’s Golf Tournament. It was fun to get the activities and connections going while supporting the community. Attendees were Peter Brooke, our CEO, and Stacey Schaedel, the Vice President of Operations at BrokerCalls. While the scores were not indicative of the good times, the tournament enabled us to kick-start the lead generation conference the right way.

“Golf won that day, but we had fun,” Brooke says. 

The following two days were spent at the Lead Generation World conference, which enabled us to interact with the most talented professionals in the industry. We were excited to meet and talk with Kevin Brody from Landfall MediaMilton G. Brown from LOUDINGads, and Michael Salerno from Meera.AI. Meeting these industry leaders was a genuine thrill for us, and it was capped by interacting with Tim Ash (pictured with Peter in the main photo), an International Keynote Speaker at Lead Generation World 2024. Ash gave the opening keynote speech, and he immediately grabbed our attention as the executive advisor, bestselling author, and expert in evolutionary psychology and provided insights into branding.

“I really enjoyed Tim Ash’s “Branding Through Intentional Polarization” keynote speech,” Brooke says. “We also got to network with many old friends and made some new friends along the way. Overall, the show was a great success.”

Dissecting the Importance of LGW 2024

The main objective of LGW 2024 was to assist advertisers and lead-generation buyers in navigating the lead-generation ecosystem effectively. Among the most important topics was how the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will change compliance methods for affiliates in 2024. 

In December 2023, the FCC issued an order that closed the “lead generator loophole” by adopting new regulations. These rules require marketers to obtain consumer consent to receive robocalls or robotexts from “one seller at a time.” This means businesses and websites that generate leads, like comparison shopping websites, will no longer be allowed to get a single consent to cover regulated calls or texts from multiple sellers. Once the regulations take effect, it will be mandatory for businesses to obtain separate permissions for each seller.
